Denmark, 23 October 2024 – Green Energy Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Kjær Jensen as the new Chairman. This appointment comes in the wake of our recent management buyout, marking the beginning of a new era for the company. With an impressive background and extensive experience in leadership and transformation, Peter brings valuable expertise to our board.
Peter Kjær Jensen has previously served as CEO of PostNord Denmark and Vice CEO of PostNord Group, where he successfully led a turnaround from a loss of over DKK 1 billion to profitability through strategic cost reductions and technological investments in automation and digitalization. He is renowned for his ability to create strategic clarity and drive significant performance improvements.
In addition to his role at PostNord, Peter has held positions as Chief Transformation Officer and COO at A.P. Moller – Maersk, and he currently serves as Chairman of eBoks and World Tour CPH P/S. He holds an Executive MBA from Columbia and London Business Schools.
“I am excited to join Green Energy Group as Chairman, and I look forward to working with Martin and the Leadership Team on the journey ahead,” says Peter Kjær Jensen. “CO2 emissions in the transport industry, particularly in road transport, must be reduced. Green Energy has the technology to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions by 5%, delivering an immediate reduction in carbon footprint and a positive financial return in less than 18 months. This is a solution where companies and the environment can both benefit — we need to do our part to make this happen.”
Martin Thaysen, CEO of Green Energy, adds, “We are thrilled to welcome Peter to Green Energy Group. His vast experience in driving business transformation and his commitment to sustainability align perfectly with our mission. With Peter’s guidance, we are poised to accelerate our growth and make an even greater impact in the renewable energy sector.”
We look forward to working with Peter and leveraging his extensive experience in our efforts to promote sustainable solutions and reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector.
